Elkhorn Boulevard - Watt to Don Julio

Project Description

This North Highlands-Foothill Farms area project will provide a number of roadway system benefits including:

• Improving roadway safety.
• Increasing traffic capacity.
• Helping to ease congestion.
• Reducing traffic delays.
• Beautification of the project area.

Planned roadway improvements include:

• Widening Elkhorn Boulevard from 4 to 6 lanes between Watt Avenue and Don Julio Boulevard.
• Constructing a 12-foot wide raised, landscaped median.
• Traffic signal modifications at the intersections of Elkhorn Blvd with Watt Avenue, Cantel Way, Thomas Drive, Larchmont Drive, Walerga Road, and Sprig Drive.
• Adding bicycle lanes.
