The White Rock Road Improvement Project will include the following:
- White Rock Road will be widened to two lanes in each direction with paved shoulders and a raised
landscaped median.
- The project begins approximately 1,700 feet west of the existing Grant Line Road/White Rock Road intersection, where White Rock Road will be realigned to intersect with Grant Line Road, approximately 600 feet south of the existing Grant Line Road/White
Rock Road.
- Approximately 4,000 feet of White Rock Road will be realigned between the new intersection of Grant Line Road/White Rock Road and the State Off Highway Vehicle Park, to correct substandard vertical and horizontal curves.
- The widening of White Rock Road will conclude approximately 1,500 feet east of
the White Rock Road/Prairie City Road intersection.
- The intersections of Grant Line Road and Prairie City Road will be widened to accommodate turning lanes, and new traffic signals.
- The White Rock Road intersections at Grant Line Road and Prairie City Road will be widened to accommodate turning lanes, and the resulting intersection controlled with a traffic signal.
- Approximately, 1,200 feet of the northern leg of Prairie City Road will also be widened to accommodate vehicle queues and lane transitions.
- Medians will be constructed to improve safety.

Estimated total project costs are $26.6 million and will be provided by Corridor
Mobility Improvement Account (CMIA) (83%) and other local revenue (17%).
