Elk Grove–Florin Road (Gerber to Florin)

Project Description

This Elk Grove - Florin Road (Gerber to Florin) improvement project will provide a number of roadway system benefits including:

• Improving roadway safety.
• Increased traffic capacity to ease congestion and delays.
• Improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
• Meeting Americans with Disability Act requirements.
• Beautification of the project area.

Planned roadway improvements include:

• Widening Elk Grove - Florin Road from 2 to 4 lanes between Gerber Road and Florin Road.
• Construction of a 12-foot wide, raised landscaped median along Elk Grove - Florin Road.
• Construction of paved shoulders to accommodate bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
• Traffic signal modification at Elk Grove-Florin @ Florin Road.
• Widening the bridge at Elder Creek.

Funding

Estimated total project costs are $6.5 million and will be provided by the Vineyard Public Facilities Financing Plan and proposed North Vineyard Station capital improvement program.
