Bradshaw Road - Florin to Morrison Creek

Project Description

This Bradshaw Road (Florin to Morrison Creek) improvement project will provide a number of roadway system benefits including:

  • Improved roadway safety.
  • Increased traffic capacity to ease congestion and delays.
  • Improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
  • Meet Americans with Disability Act requirements.
  • Beautification of the project area.

Planned roadway improvements include:

  • Widening Bradshaw Road from 2 to 4 lanes between Florin Road and Morrison Creek.
  • Construction of a 12-foot wide, raised landscaped median along Bradshaw Road.
  • Construction of paved shoulders to accommodate bicycle and pedestrian facilites.
  • Traffic signal modification at Bradshaw Road @ Elder Creek Road and Bradshaw Road @ Florin Road. 
  •   
  • Replacement of the bridge at Elder Creek.

Note: This is a cooperative sewer/roadway improvement project with the Department of Water Quality.

Preliminary Engineering, 2000
Design, 2001 to 2004
Environmental Review, 2002 to 2003
Right-of-Way Acquisition, 2003 to 2006
Construction, 2006 to 2008

Funding

Estimated total project costs are $13.6 million and will be provided by Measure A sales tax funds (47%) and Developer Fees: Roadway District 4 (53%).
