Freeport Regional Water Authority (FRWA) Median Landscaping Improvements Project Description The Freeport Regional Water Authority (FRWA) is developing a pipeline project that will carry water diverted from the Sacramento River at the new intake near Freeport Boulevard to the Sacramento County Water Agency (SCWA) Zone 40 Surface Water Treatment Plant and the Folsom South Canal. The median landscaping improvements are a cooperative effort between FRWA and Sacramento County. This project includes the construction of raised landscaped medians at the following locations:
In addition a new traffic signal will be installed at the following location:
This project will help to improve roadway safety, enhance and beautify these roadway corridors in South Sacramento. The landscaped median locations were selected with consideration given to the following:
